Ropes course

Today was one scary day and the heights ropes course is kind of freaked me out. Not only did i claim a tree and then swing over to a rope with a small 2 by 4 with me just dangling on it. But with my great balance from and holding on for my life I made it.

hybrid

If you want to drive the most environmentally friendly or "greenest" vehicle, you need to think small or think hybrid. The hybrid vehicle typically achieves greater fuel economy and lower emissions than conventional internal combustion engine vehicles this is great for not only the environment but my bank account.

Disc Golf

Disc golf sometimes called Frisbee golf is a sport that I’ve just been introduced to over the past week. On Monday the life leisure class and myself are attending marina park to attempt an entire game within our class period. This to me is going to be a lot of fun to get out and try something new and also to get away from Slippery Rock for a little.

Skip the Diet Pop

Recent research has shown that artificial sweeteners in pop may interfere with your body’s ability to estimate how many calories you ingested, so you eat more than you need. In a new rat study, animals that ate fake sugar consumed more calories overall and gained weight compared to those that didn’t eat artificially sweetened treats. This is just one study, but it’s enough to make me want to kick the can habit. Need more .convincing? For every diet soda you sip daily, your risk of becoming overweight can rise by 37 percent, according to researchers at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Now i know why im not fat never touch the diet pop.

As the unluckiest team in America the Panthers literally limp into the postseason. They lost mike cook to a knee injury for the season and Fiwlds to a broken foot until mid-February. Those two accounted for 28 percent of Pitt's points. Pitt is going to play in its second round to get into the sweet sixteen tonight at 9pm Game time Pitt VS Michigan State.

Ohio

Quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who announced his intention to play for the Buckeyes next season on Wednesday, six weeks after signing day. This guy is no joke seeing him play up here at SRU made all the other kids look just like kids. After him taking a interception 100 yards back for a TD with the closest player 40 years away with him in the end zone. (look out for the buckeyes)

NFL

Brett Favre has informed us of his intention to retire from the Green Bay Packers and the NFL. He has had one of the greatest careers in the history of the National Football League. It’s a sad day coming with this Brett Favre retiring he singlehandedly changed the game of football. I don’t know what else to say.

Price of cell Phones

Think the phone is pricey? The cool cell phone of 1988 cost $4,382 in today's dollars. A 150MB hard drive? $8,755. Take a trip with us down memory lane and you'll never whine about the price of a gadget again. That just shows how much the price of Cell phones has dropped also the prices of electronics.
